Comparisons Are Odious

Wish could get those days back,

Friendships never used to be so dull and black.

Where there used to be neither criticism nor comparison,

Instead, friends used to be each other's inspiration.

We used to play and do a lot of mischief in preschool,

God! Why can't we return back to our preschool?

O God!! When....... When did we become so foolish,

Why...... Why did we become so brutish.

We were all fond of teamwork

We always used to chose hard work.

Special bond was a thing that we all had

Then why? Why did we all become so mad.

Comparison is all that we have started with,

Jealousy is the only thing we all are left with.

We used to be so close,

But don't know who gave us this comparison dose.

We used to share everything

But now , we don't have trust to disclose anything.

Now we all have parted our ways,

Though, I want to return to those old days.

Wish.............
