A Sweet Little Voice

Sometimes, when I realize that I have taken a wrong turn

There's a voice which corrects and explains me an important lesson which I have to learn.

That voice which asks me to make a choice

Is from my inner soul, i.e., its my inner voice.

Life is sometimes a confusing thing

Because when I talk it seems like no one's listening.

When I am alone and sit or walk

There's a voice which with me secretly talks.

Sometimes, in past I did hear it cry

As because of laziness my time used to fly.

When I am down

I listen to that voice which does not make me frown.

I silently listen to what it says

As I know like a needle it always shows me the correct ways.

When I do mischief it laughs with me

But when I cross my limits, it forces me to pay the punishment fee.

My inner voice inspires, motivates me

It helps me to be what I want to be.

Sometimes it says some strange things

Because of which I too end up doing some unusual things.

But now I know how to handle it

Not totally, but of course a bit.

They hope and expect one to succeed

But my soul tells me to do and accept, no matter whether I fail or succeed.

It tells me don't let others fit 1000 things in your mind

Just keep calm and me you will definitely find.

I trusted the sweet little voice that spoke from inside

And results were visible outside.

Like a spring, inside it may jump

But it always helps me when in an obstacle I bump.

Listen to your inner voice as it never lies

And trust me, you will receive an awesome prize.
