Chariots of Faith...

The divine moment of the whole universe
Arrives finally with devotees immersed.

From king to beggar, none apart,
He dwells within each beating heart.

The chariots adorned with cloth embroidered,
And horses leading the wagon, pretty much wondered.

Three siblings ride with streets so wide,
As drums and conches swells the pride.

The chariot's wheels roll, the lord's path lies,
Puri's streets resound, with hymns and sighs.

The sweeping of the cart with golden broom,
A heartfelt view washing away gloom.

The chariots halt at Gundicha's gate,
A mother's home, where memories wait.

The Pahandi Vijay filled hearts with enthusiasm
The lord's journey, a symphony sublime.

Millions gather, with hands held high,
Tears of joy in every eye.

The scent of incense, the beats of drum
Jagannath's journey, the heart's sweet hum.

With Balabhadra, standing strong and tall,
And Subhadra, gentle, blesseing all.

The nights englighten by lamps of faith,
Washing devotees heart from wraith.

Oh Lord Jagannath, with eyes so wide,
You see our pain, our dream, our pride.

Guide our path, as wheels roll by
And lift our souls to the realm so high.
