Captivate
She was a singer,
She was a model,
She was an actor,
And she lived in multi-dimensions reaming
the hefty weight of tag Sex Symbol.
She progressed through complicated relationships by giving the profession a priority.
In an industry driven by men, she remained determined by burying the need for a pretty woman within her.
She hoped she meant something for the personages
through her entertainment.
But glamour and fame come at the price of pain.
Love is divine but not almighty, and she became a maniac
By supplanting celebrity and pills to find
comfort from her loneliness.
Trade and politics made her a pawn,
with a psychic disruption,
she lived as a zombie.
She battled poverty in childhood.
She battled the abuse in childhood.
She battled marriage at the age of 16.
She fought for her identity
and always had a passion for art propelled with confidence.
She lay on her couch, in her early thirties
with no throb and jolted the world.
The plot of her retirement got fascinated, and it didn’t regard any value
While she got massacred emotionally
ahead of her destruction in the hunt for love.
Fashion befalls her vogue.
The sale happens on her assets.
People collected her belongings with a hefty
cheque and sustain her in the salon
To depict her as artwork reproduction.
None of the hefty cheques
could provide her shoulder
when she needed it the most.
Real men don’t utilize women as objects.
Real ladies don’t abuse their freedom
for sharing emotions.
Real aficionados respect artwork and performers.
Real followers and well-wishers see the figure, past rumours.
There is a script behind the camera which
media couldn’t apprehend.
There is a soul behind the makeup
across genders,
which suffers in the gloom,
Where caress and caring are of need.
Heed surpassing the eyepiece
as we are better than contrivances
by possessing a heart.
This poem is a tribute to Marilyn Monroe and
many actors whose life went into anarchy.
The life of an actor spreads
past their roles on the stage
never conclude a character
based on on-stage performance and rumours.
