Being Different
Being Different
Years back, decided me
Not to walk the same path as many.
Not to follow the same rule
For life as millions do.
Not to abide by the norms, as most would give in
To the phrase, ”What would people say?”
I may not be unique-
“One of a kind or irreplaceable.”
But, treading my own path, not to follow the herd.
Carve a niche for myself
Anticipate a road map
And draw a geography.
Never bothered about history.
How that was or going to be.
I fell out of place.
I don’t belong there.
As after every trial,
Each seemed very wrong.
So, now I ‘m comfortable
In my own space
I‘m different in my own skin.
May not be the best
But, a life of choice.
And reflecting the glow from within.
