An Invitation
An Invitation
Come Death! I invite you with all my heart,
I have been told you succeed where life fails,
Don't let yourself down,
You can't turn down a sincere invitation,
Just wonder what people would say?
How ill of you they would talk?
And, tell me,
Would it look nice if I were to do your work?
What about your reputation then?
Are you so busy that you can't come?
Then what difference remains between you and God -
Who is so busy that he can't listen?
Who is so unyielding that he won't forgive?
Who is so indifferent that he doesn't care?
Come Death! I invite you with all my heart.
