Dear Future self,

Once again,

I sit on the very same seat where I once sat crying. Typing my feelings out.

Yellow lights make me think, think very hard. They’ve always been a bit kind though.

Things have changed, I have too. But thank god this hazelnut coffee tastes familiar like a bit of paradise. I sit, stirring the froth and contemplating the amount of time it is going to be when I’ll be sleeping in my bed again. The absolute feeling of bliss.

It’s weird leaving again and again, soon enough hopefully I’ll be on my next flight, excited to see my friends and with a snap of fingers even that trip will be over. It’s also weird writing a letter to my future self to remind it to not to forget how I felt in this very moment.

I think about my seat on the flight, somehow I’ve opted for a window seat this time. I probably wanted to see the sunrise. I probably wanted to feel what normal people feel when they sit on a window seat. I’ve never been able to look out for a long time and end up sleeping. Hopefully this time it’ll be different.

It was weird not seeing him this time. I danced for four hours in a club right next door but this time around, he wasn’t there.

Like always, he was too busy to call while I slept in the cab in the morning. But then again, he never did. Ugh, why does he still hold a great control over my head?

Meanwhile, I know I’m going to miss roomie super duper much. There’s no better person on this planet that one could live with. Not to forget, I will miss all others. My lovelies!

Apart from this, I think it was a pretty successful visit. I look forward to the next time.

Until next time,

Your past self.
