A Stupid Sensible Common Man!
A Stupid Sensible Common Man!
In the crowd
I saw two hands,
Randomly watering the bushes and plants
I think he was a stupid sensible common man.
I encounter the person
In between life,
Sometimes he picks up the trash
That you and I threw a while.
That stupid sensible common man
Is always occupied with the thoughts,
And is busy undertaking the responsibilities
Of his tiniest social acts.
Neither he asks others
The reasons for their misbehavior,
Nor does he showcase
His noble simple ways.
People like you and me
Observe him thoroughly,
Mostly we get smitten by his acts
But we stride forward, as we are so busy in our tasks.
Do pause for a moment
And do introspect,
This stoical approach and insensitivity
Is hazardous for us and our posterity.
Sensibility and responsibility
Are evanescing from the society.
Can we save it from going down the pan
And be one more stupid sensible common man?
