A Poet

A poet is a puppet of words and emotions

A poet is a liar who shows true devotion 

In wrinkled hand, he writes 

In sharpened strokes, he fights 

A poet deceives and reality he bends

One moment he provokes then the next he defends 

Eyes closed yet opened too

He sees red as he sees blue

A poet speaks, a poet reads

A poet kills, a poet breeds 

By his words, dusk becomes dawn

And with each moment his works shall live on
