A Nightmare to be Forgotten

Late night while I was awake I was looking at the moon,

With the hope of getting sleep soon.

While trying to count the sheep,

Don't know when I was fast asleep.

Then my mind started to wander around the lonely world,

After seeing I couldn't express with words.

My heart was filled with fear and doubt,

In a corner was a friend who I found out!

With whom I can celebrate my birthday,

For togetherness and friendship for always I pray.

Give gifts to each other without any reason,

Cherish all moments no matter what's the season.

With whom I can have pillow fight,

And whatever the situation, will always hold you tight.

This dream turned into a nightmare!

When of my friend's intentions I became aware.

They walked away and left me alone,

Because their hearts were of stone.

In the darkness there was no one I could see,

Except my fright and me.

My heart was beating fast and my face turned blue,

I felt like the people disappeared whom I knew.

Those quite moments broke me down,

I cried till the time of dawn.

Now I realized at this point of time,

That trusting people was a crime.

The dream which I saw is not true!

I didn't understand what to do.

Suddenly I got up with a scream,

Realizing it was just a bad dream.

Later I saw my friends and I were together,

And didn't let the nightmare affect me ever.
