A Decade Ago

A Decade ago,

Two souls ran off from each other

Got lost in their own whirls of steadiness and hidden uneasiness.

Never meant to collide once again

Never meant to cross their paths again

Never meant to return to their old paths,

And yet,

They did.

The sheer memory started pouring down the road,

The red ink that wrote their history

On the walls of the dilapidated palace of love

Once again became visible.

A decade passed.

A handful of crumpled notes still stashed in the secret hollows

Were looked for.

And why?

It's been a decade now. Do they matter?

What horrors would unleash again?

No one knew! No one knew but

Each bit and pieces merged again

Only to be meaningful this time.
