I Want To Breathe

I wish to breathe,

I wish to be free,

If only a soul had let me see.

Throughout my life, I heard these words,

"You have to meet heights, be on your knees,

Do this do that, never relax.

Life is hard, it will pull you down,

Be ready and plan, else you'll be left on the ground."

But the ground is steady, will give me support,

Heights are high, scary as nights,

I may not reach them, but it's okay to be.

If only a soul had let me see,

That it's okay to be and okay to breathe.
