Indian Marriages

A family of two Agarwaal sister-Rashi, Avishi has four member father, mother, and 2 sisters. Like other families, it was a beautiful family. The bond of affection was very strong in that family. The main goal of parents is to educate their daughters and of daughters is to serve their parents. One day there was a sudden knock at the door the sisters were studying and the mother opens the door. A courier boy gives her an invitation to her relative's marriage and asks her for her signature. mother come into the house and 2 daughters rushed out of their tables and asked her about it. When they know that family is invited to be a part of a 'didi's marriage' they both were very excited. All the gifts, dresses were packed, now it is time to reach the venue.

The day of the marriage ceremony arrived family reached the venue, there were great hustle and bustle. After meeting and greeting all their uncles and aunts they reached their rooms and taken rest for nearly 40 mins and just get up from their beds to get ready for ceremonies. They enjoyed a series of ceremonies and its time for something they never witnessed. It's time for "Kanya Daan", Rashi in an exciting tone asked her mother- "what they were going to donate?".Mother didn't reply at once, one aunt sitting beside her tell about this ceremony in detail. Rashi interrogated that uncle educated her daughter and why he is giving her daughter? But couldn't find its answer.

Rashi's question was genuine. Marriages are not giving and taking but a new bond, trust, and respect.
