Meeting you?

Allowing you to be a part of my life?

Do you?

Do I regret giving you my heart?

Do I regret letting my walls crumble away?

Do I wish, that somehow, I could change,

The scenes flashing in my mind on replay?

Do I regret the fights,

The time we spent,

The energy I wasted,

Trying to decipher what you meant?

Do I regret the late night calls,

The mindless chatter,

That sweet feeling of warmth,

Was it worth the cold that came after?

If I could go back,

To the point we first met,

Would I save myself from heartache,

And the nights spent crying in my bed?

Would I do it all differently?

Would I change anything at all?

Or would I walk the tightrope all over again,

Trusting that this time you wouldn't let me fall?

After overthinking it for months,

I still don't have the solution,

All I can say is,

You left my heart in a state of confusion.

What I do know is the feelings you evoked in me,

To this day still warm me to the core,

And maybe one day our paths shall cross again,

Who knows, we may even repeat history once more.
