March 2020 will be always remembered as a Coronavirus quarantine month with schools, colleges, offices, courts, malls, shops, cinemas, restaurants closed all over the world. One of the worst epidemic alert after the bubonic plague. Though this affects the world economy to a large extent, the most immediate effect is people having to stay at home without much option but to interact with your close ones.

Here I want to tell my story. I am a middle-aged mother with a 9-year-old son. Being passionate about music, I am enrolled in a Bachelors's degree in Music. My husband a financial consultant has the unique case of dealing with two students in his life. Life was on a roll as usual and Jan 1st 2020 started as any normal day of the year. We all went about our jobs, me and my son studying and fighting about when we need separate time, me for practicing and he for catching up on his screen time.

Then came the sudden jolt of the Corona virus outbreak. Slowly and surely, all outdoor activities started to slow down and people/students /teachers were given leave or asked to learn and work from home. It is a challenging situation but one unique experience to be with your loved ones for more than a month.

I started waking up and putting Rangoli in front of our apartment every morning with my husband dutifully clearing off the previous day ones and keeping the place clean for my next creative piece. All of us in the house including my son and my mother-in-law share the various tasks of cooking, cleaning, sweeping and other household chores as our maid has also been asked to be at home.

This stay at home option provides us with unique ways to be creative. We have got out our carrom board out of the dust and start using it. I and my son are having music classes online. I am able to write my stories, do colouring , cooking and just enjoying life.

This whole Corona Virus thing has made us realize that the value in everything we do including the air we breathe.

Hope all of us are a bit more sensitive and find better ways to utilize the Earth resources without destroying the delicate balance.
