With all my one lakh soldiers, twenty thousand horses, one thousand elephants and five hundred canyons, I was attacking the kingdom of Delhi. I had already conquered Marathas, Rajputs and all other parts and dynasties of Hindustan. I was just one step away to become the ruler of Hindustan. Kabul and Afghans were already crushed, and all those who came in my path were either crushed or squashed and defeated. After two thousand years of Ashoka, another Asoka emerged with the characteristics and aim of Alexander. My aim was winning and conquering the whole world, starting with my homeland Hindustan. People called me 'Chandashok' or 'Mahaveer'. I was the emerging power and the most powerful king of 1569 A. D. No other king in the entire Hindustan was as powerful as me.

It was the night of full moon day, and we were having our camps outside the walls of Delhi . I was just one night away from the biggest and the deadliest war ever. I was also just one night away from winning Delhi. But that night everything changed. After the meal with my officials having discussion and planning of strategy of winning Delhi, I had went on my usual walk all alone. I was just returning when I saw that a black figure from beneath a tree was staring me with it's shiny eyes. I didn't even recognized that whether it is a human or animal or any other creature. I didn't even had my sword with me, nor any of my soldiers. I asked that creature that who it is. The creature silently stared me for a minute and then suddenly stood up from his place. I was frozen from fear, but also from curiosity. Then it spoke for the first time "Mahaveer, ruler of entire Hindustan except Delhi, do you know what you are going to do tomorrow?"

I replies with pride "Yes, tomorrow I am going to win the entire Hindustan"

That creature said "No!You are saying wrong. Let me tell you that what will happen tomorrow. Tomorow you are going to flow the river of blood. Thousands of soldiers will die from both the sides. Natives will suffer. Resources would be wasted and economy would fell down. Earth would have become red due to blood and your ears would hear the cry of many widows and heartbroken families. "

At first I thought that he was a scout from enemy side but later I realized that he was not a scout when I saw a happening of tomorrow in front of my eyes. I was shocked and full of sorrow. I fell on my knees and asked the creature "What can I do now? I had already done so sins, so many wars, I already have blood of so many people on my hand, what can I do now?"

Then what it said changed my life and my aim. It said "Two thousand years ago l, An emperor was born in Magadha with aim to conquer India. He was very powerful. He was called Ashoka. But after the battle of Making he realized his sins and came on the path of non-violence, truth and kindness. Three hundred years from today a man will again born, in fact a mahatma will born l in 1869 A. D. in Gujrat who will make understand the world the power of non-violence. In reality he would be the conqueror of the world . He would be the man of millennium and the father of this nation. But between these two great men, another man is born called Mahaveer. Only you could change the destiny of yours. Leave the path of violence and come on the path of non-violence and kindness, truth and honesty. You cannot change what had happened till today, but you can change your tomorrow. Cancel all the wars and free all the territories and men you have conquered. Distribute all your money and wealth in the need people and contribute your whole life glfor the sake and welfare of humanity. Then your good deeds would be much more than your sins."

I heard carefully everything he said and had decided to do everything he said. I thanked him and he started going, but I asked him who he is. Without replying anything he disappeared in the darkness of night. I changed the aim of my life and after reaching the camp canceled the war and told my soldiers to go and live their life as they want. I also freed all the men and territories I had conquered. I also gave my everthing the needy people and had went on the countryside to spend rest to my live with my family. Everyone was surprised and curious to know that what had happened to me, but I didn't tell anything to anyone.

Today I am very much satisfied and happy with my father, mother and sister but only one thing still comes in my mind, and that is "Who was that man?"
