Weekend Of Nuclear Families

The present-day trend is that people are living independently as nuclear families. The career style is such that people opt for nuclear families. However, they find ways and means of spending weekends in different ways. 

Many of them have started meeting their siblings or parents during their weekend and have a jolly time. To avoid burdening any particular family having to cook for everybody, a concept of a potluck is adopted in the most weekend get-togethers. It is actually a very exciting experience to taste a variety of dishes which includes desserts like Jalebi, gulab jamun, payasaya. After the feast like lunch, some of the elders relax, some are busy catching up on juicy gossips. There is another group of people who have fun playing games like Jenga, chess, carrom or cards which is the best part of the weekend. Roundabout four coffee, tea, or juice is served by the men along with snacks like pakora, samosas, chips. 

Then with a heavy heart, we start packing up and go back to their respective houses with a thought that we will meet soon.
