True Friendship
True Friendship
Once upon a time, there lived a boy named, Tom. One day Tom was really happy, and he was, again and again, looking at his wrist. He had a big beautiful watch on his wrist. Everyone came to his seat to see his new watch and when Tom pressed the button of the watch a song started to play and a sweet voice would tell the time. This watch was gifted to him by his father. His father had bought this watch from Bangkok. When Jack came into the classroom Tom ran towards him and showed him his new watch. Jack had never seen such a beautiful watch before. He kept thinking about the watch all the time. After a while the class teacher came into the room but, Jack's mind was still thinking about the watch. When Jack returned home he even ate his food half-hearted as he was still thinking about the watch. The next day Jack got up early and got ready to go to school. He had made a decision to do something in the school today.
Tom had bought the watch to school and during lunchtime, Jack purposely dropped water on Toms's watch. Jack said sorry to Tom for his mistake and asked Tom to remove the watch and keep it in the bag safely. Tom removed the watch and kept it in the bag. During the English period, the teacher asked Tom to bring a book from the library. In the meantime, Jack removed the watch from Tom's bag and hid it in his bag. He was really frightened while stealing the watch. He was anxiously waiting for the school to get over so that he could rush back home.
On reaching home Jack removed the watch and was very happy to see it, but within his heart, he was very sad for stealing his friend's watch. Jack's mother called him and said "Jack there is a phone call from Tom".Jack hurriedly hid the watch and ran to answer the call. He asked Tom what the matter was to which Tom replied that his watch has been stolen in the school. Hearing this Jack very scared and told Tom that he had not seen the watch. After the call, Jack kept thinking and felt bad that he had broken the trust of his friend and cheated him.
The next day Jack again went early to school and on getting a chance kept the watch back in Tom's bag. By the end of school time Tom was very happy to get his watch back. The same evening there was a birthday party at Jack's residence as it was his birthday. He received many gifts from his friends. Tom had also bought a small gift seeing which Jack got excited and opened it immediately. He was very surprised and happy to see the gift as it was the same watch like Tom had on his wrist. Tom informed Jack as his birthday was coming Tom had requested his father to bring two watches of the same model. Jack was very happy and excited about the watch and within his heart, he thanked God for saving him becoming a thief and not breaking the trust of his best friend. He further promised that he would never cheat or break the trust of his friend for the rest of his life.
