“At last my team won! All because of that last goal that I made!” Vijay was happy because he had won today’s football match. “I will tell about it to Mummy and Papa when they will come home!” He went in his room straightaway to keep his ball. In a hurry he banged the door as he went inside. “Oh no! The door is locked.” That’s when he remembered that the door was having a problem from the past few days. It jammed and locked on its own when closed forcefully and then had to be opened by its key. But thankfully his parents knew that something like this could happen so they had kept a key inside his room. Vijay kept the ball on the floor and searched for the key. “There it is!” he exclaimed as he rushed towards the door. In the way, he tripped on his ball and fell. The key flung from his hand and fell. “Clink!” he heard the sound of key as it fell on the floor. But his spectacles too had fell somewhere when he fell. And without his spectacles , he was almost blind. His hand went everywhere but couldn’t find the keys or the spectacles. He wriggled on the floor with his hand reaching out everywhere as he went. At last he grabbed something maybe from below the bed. Vijay felt that it was circular and hard. "Maybe it's a coin." he said and continued to hunt.

Suddenly, something stuck in shoe. He brought his hand towards it. He felt that they were his spectacles. He wore them and at last he could see clearly. He found that he was under the table and was wriggling on the same place from the past 5 minutes. He stood up carefully and started searching for the key. He searched the whole room but the key was nowhere to be found. Suddenly, he heard a knock at the door and when he peeped out through the keyhole, he was shocked to see who it was. It was Brownie, the stray dog, whom Vijay fed regularly. But, how did he came inside? Vijay wondered if he had closed the main door when he came inside or not. But after seeing the dog, the answer was found. Now, Vijay was panicking. The main door was open! Anybody could come inside! He tried to see outside through the space below the door and that’s when he got another shock. The keys were outside! Maybe while hunting for spectacles, he had to pushed the keys outside through the little space below the door. Now his head was going round. What he could do? He thought to signal Brownie to slide the key inside. But it was not possible to do through a keyhole or from below the door That's when another idea struck him. He thought to slide his iron scale below the door and grab the key. He tried his best but the scale was a bit short. Brownie saw the scale from outside and kicked the key forward so that it comes in the scale's range. Dogs are very intelligent, you know! Vijay dragged the key inside without realising that Brownie had kicked it. He happily got the key and opened the door. As soon as he opened it, Brownie rushed towards him. Vijay picked him up merrily and went outside. He closed the main door as tightly as could. "Today, I had an adventure, Brownie." he said. "It is not easy to manage the situation when you are trapped inside a room, all by yourself, with no one to help." But little did he know that he had received some help, and that too from Brownie
