In the bustling, cluttered city of Mumbai there lived a serene and dainty girl who loved animals tremendously. Her name was Beatrice. She loved the soothing and tranquil environment around her grandparent's house a tiny village by the sea. Beatrice's grandparents lived harmoniously with their pet dog, Bailee. Beatrice simply loved spending time with Bailee. But a few days ago Bailee's tragic death brought grief and saddened everyone. Bailee was sick but couldn't express his pain. The family felt guilty for not

understanding the voice of the voiceless.

Soon it was summer and she went to spend her vacations with her grandparents and give them company. One day, while she was lying lazily on the couch, flipping through the newspaper, she found an article about cruelty towards animals. She was horrified and rushed to her Grandfather.

Beatrice picked up the newspaper and read the article for her grandfather.

Her grandfather listened intently to the disheartening story, with fury in his eyes.

After Beatrice finished reading the article, her grandfather thought for a while.

Suddenly his eyes softened and he said, "My dear intelligent little angel - what would you do to solve this problem?"

Beatrice clapped a hand to her chin and started contemplating, frowning into the distance.

"What are you pondering about?" asked Grandpa.

Beatrice's face suddenly glowed up. "Grandpa, you know that people say that necessity is the mother of invention. If given the chance to invent something, I would do something for animals", said Beatrice, her face glowing brighter by the moment.

Grandpa asked, with a mischievous look on his face, "So what is my quick-witted granddaughter planning to do when she grows up?"

Beatrice replied, in a very empathetic tone, "Grandpa, all animals are suffering from the wrongdoings of us, humans. I want to invent an animal translator that can turn woofs into words and make sense of meows. For instance, imagine talking to a tiger or chatting with a cheetah!"

Grandpa asked in a very excited voice, "So what will this extraordinary invention help us in?"

To this, Beatrice responded in a very proud tone, "The animal translator, BOWOW, will help us in many ways. We will no longer need to guess what our pet wants or needs. Farmers can use BOWOW to understand when one of their animals is sick. Zoo animals will also be benefitted from this gadget. We will be able to help endangered animals from facing extinction."

"What a wonderful name - BOWOW!" exclaimed Grandpa. "But will it improve the relationship between animals and mankind?"

Beatrice replied, yet more proudly, "This gadget will lead to harmonious relationships because we might be able to tell animals what we expect of them and will get to know what they want. We will know when they feel overwhelmed or confused. And the ability to express love and joy in a shared language is irresistible. It will be like all our favorite Disney movies coming to life."

Grandpa smiled and said, " With the fast advancement in science and technology I hope you will be able to invent such a gadget soon,

for the welfare of both animals and mankind. Beatrice, you have a way of turning any conversation into an intellectual discussion! I hope you accomplish your dream for inventing BOWOW and help those guilt-free and clean- heartened

animals find justice and love amongst us."

Beatrice replied with gratitude in her voice, "Thank you for your love and support Grandpa. I hope one day I’ll be able to talk to animals like Dr. Doolittle who once sang—“What a neat achievement that would be!”
