There’s No Use Being Angry

“I can’t handle this forever!”, exclaimed Rahul, shocked after seeing the result in his History paper. Here’s a little biography about him: Rahul was a boy, studying in the 5^th standard. You could say that he was an average boy. But his steady decline in studies has made him tremendously upset. Nowadays, he would shout loudly at the top of his lungs, maybe even lock himself in his room and cry and come out slowly, still weeping. His parents tried to be empathetic, but he didn’t listen to them. They decided to send him to a counsellor, but he neglected the counsellor’s advice too.

Rahul started to stay at home in the evenings instead of going out to play. He didn’t even talk to his friends in school. He started feeling lonely, which worsened his case even more. He never smiled, for he was sad. But the reason at which he was sad was still unclear. Did he really have to be that unhappy? It took some time, but he finally realised that it was not a necessity to do this drama. One day, he tiptoed up to his father. His father greeted him with a warm smile. Rahul began the waterworks. He couldn’t control it. His father patted him and asked him why he was crying. “I’m sorry, Dad, for having acted to be sad. I just wanted to tempt people.”, he admitted. His father chuckled. Then he said, “Rahul, you are my son. I know you very well, and that you would do this purposely.”

At night, when Rahul was sleeping(not sleeping, just pretending to), he eavesdropped a conversation between his parents. He heard his father whispering that he was satisfied, for Rahul was honest about his acts. The next day, at school, Rahul started talking to his friends. They were surprised to see him in such a cheerful mood and were happy too. From that day on, he solved his problems by talking to people close to him. A few months later, he received the results of his exams. So, we could say that these exams acted as the climax in his school life. But this was a turning point which was truly pleasant, as he got a fairly well score comparatively in his History exam.
