The Way I See It!

It's just an ordinary day in school. Met Karuna, Riza and Reyna. Nothing new or chilling to talk about. Riza just became close to Elna and has been avoiding me (Alisa) and Karuna. High-school is supposed to be hard right? This shows it.

"Alisa " Reyna called out. " DID YOU SEE THE NEW FALL COLLECTION IN THE BOOK FAIR? They were amazing!" "I got some new books, I will lend them to you soon." I replied "Oh! cool will read them when you are done." I seemed to be a bit off, but Reyna fixed my mood. She does that always, she is the best after all!

Lately the things striking my mind were the geometric shapes. How amazing these shapes could be: 3 sided, 4 sided or 5 or nothing at all. So coming to the point, these shapes can be like people i.e 3 sided shapes are like me, Karuna, Riza or Reyna, Pristine and Vani or 4 people like the guys in the next class or big circles where 10 people are connected to each other circumscribing a rhombus or a square or maybe subtending a 60o in between. This is what we call a friend circle or peer group in layman language for people around me to understand. Recently, these groups have become an area of tension. We don't usually find time for the people who actually keep time for us we move on with time leaving behind everything that happened in the past. The past has to be forgotten to just live in the present. So lately Riza has been sticking to Elna and she is busy because they have doing their school projects together, giving time to each other more. I have been sticking with Reyna and Karuna and enjoying high-school.

So one fine day while walking back home I bumped into Riza and I asked her" HEY! Riz, are you excited for the surprise party for Karuna ?" and she goes on like " What surprise?" I felt a punch in my heart, that I had to listen to this. She forgot. " So its Karuna's birthday like usual we have been planning this from the beginning of this year." " Oh that, well I have to back off from the plan cause Elna and I have to hangout that day." " Well.." I said " I didn't know that Elna had become your priority over Karuna!" I walked away saying. It has been a long day.

Days went by and now TODAY WAS THE DAY OF SURPRISE but I was all alone.

6 o'clock at Karuna's house I gave her a surprise but she seemed sad as Riza did not come nor call her. But at 9 o'clock there was a knock. Who could it be now? I wondered.

It was Riza! She was like " Elna was never a priority !" " You guys are..."

Maybe my priorities were wrong in the way I see them

After all the peer groups made to last.
