The Unexpected Invasion

Olivia, a young, smart and a pretty girl of 19 years was working in her science laboratory, busy making a chemical solution that could heal any wound on the body in just less than a second by sprinkling few drops of that solution on it. This was her first project in Massachusetts research centre and she was determined to complete it. She tried hard to find which herb would best suit the need but was unable to do so. Olivia lived with her mother in luxury but she hadn't seen her father since two years as he had gone for a mission to Mars but suddenly vanished on Mars. Nobody understood where he had gone. She missed him terribly. She decided to go to Oxford library to search about ancient herbs of the 21st century especially because 21st century was called "The century of the brain".

So, you must have understood that it was the 23rd century and that day was 26 August 2220.

Now, moving ahead with our story-

Olivia reached the Oxford library in her electromagnetic Ferrari in 10 minutes. There was no one in the library. She went to the receptionist's robot and said, "Hi. I would like to go through some botanical books of the 21st century. Where can I find them?"

The robot said, "Hello ma'am, you will find the books that you desire in the D Block Shelf no.7"

"Thankyou very much", Olivia said and quickly trotted towards D Block. Shelf no.7 was huge and had many books about 21st century. She picked up an encyclopedia on herbs of Himalayas. After a thorough research, she found that a tree named Neem had very powerful medicinal properties. As she was getting ready to go, suddenly a bright light appeared from nowhere. Olivia got frightened and she hid behind the shelf. A big UFO came down and two unusual looking red aliens and an old man came down. Strangely, the red aliens hugged the old man and spoke something in a foreign language which seemed as if they were bidding good bye to the old man. The red aliens and the UFO disappeared leaving the old man. Surprisingly, the old man saw Olivia and walked towards her and said, "My Olivia! You have grown big".

Olivia couldn't believe her eyes and ears. It was her father. So, as you can see it was the 21st century shelf that re-united a daughter and a father. It was in this library where Martians and Earthlings met and it was in this library where Olivia found an answer for her project.

You must be wondering who is the narrator of this story, right? Well, I am Olivia's granddaughter and my father is a Martian and my mother is an Earthling. Hope you liked my grandmother's story.
