Centuries ago, when the time was still young, there was only a primordial void of nothingness. It was from this nothingness that Spirit drew together the Lady. The Lady was a fine being, tall and slender, with pale skin and thick, lustrous hair that matched the darkness of the empty realm that she inhabited. She wore garments of midnight-black, embroidered with silver thread and adorned with many silver necklaces, earrings, and anklets that glowed as bright as her mind. Her soul was youthful and kind, always wishing to aid something or someone in any way they wished. However, she soon tired of the lonely world of nothingness and was saddened to see such sights. Upon noticing his creation's despair, Spirit than created The Green Man, Cernunnos. He forged him as neither spirit nor mortal, allowing him to shift between the other whenever he wished. The Lady and Cernunnos. These would be the two masculine and feminine energies that would give rise to the world. They played together, talked together, worked together, ran together, walked together, and shortly after, fell in love together. However, inevitably, they would know that there was still much space to be filled. The void was limitless, after all. And so from nothingness, the Lady drew together the elements that would shape our world. Earth, air, water, and fire, long forgotten now. She then plucked strands of certain elements and sew them into each other, giving rise to the so-called, 'scientific elements' or chemicals, that would form the skeleton of the world. She then fused two different elements together, creating the stars. However, the stars simply fell towards the ground, wherever it was in the darkness. They were lost forever, and would soon form new holes of nothingness that would suck in whatever came near. Black Holes, the humans would call them. This is why, to prevent such disasters, the Lady and Cernunnos created gravity, which held the stars firmly in place. However, they wished to spread these stars all throughout the void, which was impossible and would take years to accomplish. Which was why the Lady divided herself into three new parts. The Mother, the Maiden, and the Crone. These would form the phases of the moon. They also crushed some of the stars, and from the dust, created portals that would be known as galaxies. They simply needed to drop the stars into the different galaxies, and gravity would do the rest.

However, this did not satisfy the Mother, who felt obligated to create more and asked for the others' assistance. They gladly gave it to her, and so, they created more. Within each of the different galaxies, they created more. Taking some of the stars and plucking them out of the sky, they joined them all together to form the many suns that would light up the skies. They then put each of these suns in a proper position. The Lady plucked stones from her jewelry and molded them to form the planets. She then placed Earth in the exact right position for life to sprout. Not too close, not too far from the sun. The perfect conditions for growth. She then joined hands with Cernunnos, and together, they gave rise to the magnificent blue seas, the raging rivers and rushing streams with fish off all colors and sizes, which glimmered in the sunlight. They created the birds and the lions, the bears, and the animals. The Lady gave each bird a special song, which was distorted as the birds mated with each other. Meanwhile, Lord Cernunnos gave each animal the instinct to survive. They then gave birth to their greatest creation, humanity. They watched, as the first humans crawled out of the mud, weak, frail, and hungry. However, soon, they found that the humans were far too weak compared to the others who they shared the planet with. So, they called a select few and took them under their wing. They taught them how to speak, and how to write. Once they mastered that, they taught them how to commune with spirits, how to control the natural elements, and taught them the ancient art of healing. They showed them how to call great rains that would offer them water, taught them how to summon life-giving fire that they would have died without. And so, upon returning to Earth, the few who learned all that put their knowledge to good use. And so, humanity flourished, reaching the top of the food chain. However, soon, some man came to their little abode, preaching the word of some so-called god. He performed great miracles, not knowing that it was the Lady who allowed him to do so. This turned out to be a grave mistake, as soon, more disciples came to this man for truth and guidance. Upon his orders, all the sorcerers, the enchanters, and the healers, both male, and female, were burned at stakes. They would be stoned and accused of dark practices that they claimed they did not do. Witches they were called. Sinners who were unclean in the eyes of a so-called god. Soon, they were forced to practice in secrecy. Taking the name of the Hidden Children, they walk the Earth still, using their energies for good fortune and to bring good to others and themselves.
