The Sad Hunter

Once there lived a beautiful bird which sings very beautifully sitting on the windows of a house. The bird lived with her small family in the nearby banyan tree. The family consisted of her husband and her son. All went as usual suddenly there started a heavy storm with thunder.

The parents left their son under the supervision of an old woodpecker which lives in the nearby tree. They flew away to find a safer place than the present one. The mother bird kept on crying and weeping after she had left her son alone. They kept on flying they didn't find a safer place they kept on flying at a certain point the storm had ceased its end. After a while, they also found a new place that they could live upon. They kept a landmark and they went back in search of the place where they left their son. When they went nearby they were shocked to see the bloodstains all over the banyan tree at the same time they saw a hunter nearby walking with his gun but he was crying.

They thought that the hunter has killed their son for his meal. They thought of teaching the hunter a lesson for what he has done. They went to the hunter and started disturbing him all night and days. It continued for a couple of days after which the hunter died. They were proud of their act. After this, they came back to the banyan tree and they found their son hiding inside the best. The parents were shocked to see this then the old woodpecker came to them and narrated what had happened.

"Oh... Foolish parents the care that you took for your son has covered your eyes. It was a fact that the hunter came to kill your son but he didn't, what happened is your son was playing in the nest and unknowingly he fell down. As it was raining nobody could help your son. By that time the hunter came there, took his gun and was aiming to shoot at him(bird's son), but when he pulled the trigger off He saw that his (hunter) son was shot dead at the spot as he(hunter's son) came to protect your(bird's son) son at that sight the hunter fell down with overwhelming emotion and he somehow gained his senses and started walking that you two mistook and killed him."

The parents regretted and then migrated to the new play that they had seen for themselves in a faraway place.
