The Missing Necklace

Camila was a 12 year old girl. Who stayed with her grandmother and her grandfather, after her parents death in a car accident. She was a very good natured girl. Her dream was to become an archeologist. She would always be busy finding things which were under the ground. In her house there were a lot many things which she had found digging the ground behind their house, that ground was 500 square feet big. After returning from school she would freshen up and go out on the ground to dig more things and study about them, she was very exited today to see what she will find today. While digging she found a big box and a map. After 1 hour when she returned to her house. Her grandfather and her grandmother were very impressed with Camila. After awhile her grandmother told her to go to bed as it was late. She took the box and the map with her in her bedroom. That night she was not able to sleep well as the thought of what is in the box? and what is that map about? kept her awake.

After some time she woke up from the bed and tried to open the box but, she was not able to cause it had a lock which needed a very small key, after a long, long time she gave up and went to sleep again. In the morning after taking a bath and getting ready for school, she was waiting for her school bus, she was very happy to go to school as today was Friday, and every Friday there would be a discovery period in which all the students are taken to the school museum where they are shown many old things with were found by famous archeologist. She was lost in her thoughts when the bus arrived, she climbed in the bus and sat on the seat where her best friend was sitting, her best friends name was Olivia she was just as Camila, the only difference in them was that Camila wanted to become an archeologist and Olivia wanted to become Physicist. When Camila sat on the other side of Olivia.

Olivia said " Good Moring Camila"

Camila replied " Good Morning Olivia"

After this no one said anything till they reached the school. They went in their classroom, their class teacher was already ready to go to the school museum.

She said " Come and join the line with the other students " to Camila and Olivia. 

Camila and Olivia joined the line and when all the students where ready they went down to the museum, all the student were very exited to see what is there today. When they reached the museum there were two unknown people standing near the table where many different things were kept, which Camila knew were the things which will be shown to them. But still she was a little bit confused that why the two people were there as no one has ever visited them in the school museum. She observed each and every student carefully but wasn't able to recognize any of them, then she shifted a little closer to Olivia who was sitting right next to her.

"I think today we are going to have a interesting period" Camila whispered in Olivia's ear.

"Yeah! I think the same" replied Olivia.

After at least 6 to 7 minutes later when all the class students were down the man standing on the left hesitated.

And said "hem hem" clearing his throat.

He said "Dear students welcome to the most special day, as today we are going to learn some interesting things about the things you can see on the table and we are going to take you to a place were there are thousand and thousand of things which you will like to learn about. Thank you." 

Everybody was silent for at least 1 to 2 minutes, no one moved. Then a boy named Lucas raised his hand up.

"Yes, Mr." said the man.

"Hi! I am Lucas, actually I just wanted to ask that where are we going to go?" asked Lucas.

"That you'll now Mr. Lucas." said the man.

Then the school principal came forward to speak. When the school principal came forward to speak, Camila whispered in Olivia's ear "Today our principal is not looking happy like she always is, today she looks a little bit depressed and not well, I think there is something wrong going with her.

"Yes, I also think the same. We should ask her after our this period that is she okay or not?" replied Olivia.

"Yes" replied Camila.

After the principal finished. The man standing on the right came forward.

He hesitated and said "Dear student, I am Mr. Rover the most famous archeologist. I am today hear to tell each and every one of you about my study and show you the things I found in 3 years of my career. And I hope each one of you is exited to see what is there to see today!." said Mr. Rover

Then the man standing on the left went out of the room and after some time came in with a big bag. He kept the bag on the table where many things were kept, then he and Mr. Rover took many blue plastic wrapped things from the bad, it took 3 minutes for them to do this. When all the things were out took out a roll of paper from his coat and kept it on the table. It was strange, as everybody was confused to see the roll of paper.

"Dear students now I think we shall start. So, our first thing which we are going to see is a small key a very, very small key." said Mr. Rover unwrapping the key from the plastic.

He held his hand high in the air so that everybody could see the key. 

"I found it on the Rookes Island which is located in the Pacific ocean. It is a very small Island with many caves, there at least 13 to 14 caves there. I have visited all the caves but, was not able to visit one as it is hidden in the forest where no one has ever gone not even an animal. But, the actual reason why this key is special is that it is made up of something called blue Litters. Blue Litters is a material which is found only in the Steak Forest. This is a very rare material, and this is the reason this key is so special. So, if anyone of you has any question can raise their hand" said Mr. Rover.

After hearing this everyone was silent, no one was moving. Then a girl named Stella raised her hand.

"Yes, dear" said Mr. Rover.

"I wanted to ask that can I touch that key once, please!?" replied Stella.  

"Yes of course you can Mrs. Stella." said Mr. Rover.

Stella went up to the main table where Mr. Rover and the man were standing. Mr. Rover passed the key to Stella. After taking the key in her hand she was unmoved for sometime, not even her eyes were moving nor she blinked, she was so steady that all the eyes were on her. Then after some more time she moved and said "There is something written on this key but, I'm not able to understand it."

Mr. Rover snatched the key from Stella and began to examine it, it did not take a long time for him to recognize and then he straighten up took a deep breath and said "It is written that ' Double my number, I'm less than a score, Half of my number is less than four. Add one to my double when bakers are near, Days of the week are still greater, I fear. ' it is a riddle but, I'm not able to understand it.

Camila was confused, she raised her hand to question.

"Yes dear" said Mr. Rover.

"Sir I think this riddle is of a number." said Camila.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean that if we try to understand this riddle then it will give us a number, means the answer to this riddle is a number."

Everybody started thinking hard. But, no one was getting the answer, and time was going then suddenly the bell rang and all the students were taken to the class rooms then the whole time no one was able to stop thinking about the riddle. The last periods bell rang and all students were sent home.

After returning home Camila couldn't stop thinking about the key. Then suddenly she thought about the box she had found, she took it out from the cupboard and saw the lock on it she stated to rub all the dust from it, and then finally when all the dust was gone she was able to see numbers on it, she started to check each and every number to see if the box is opening or not. She tried for a ;long time and then finally she tried the last time and this time she tried with the number 6 and then when the number was put there flashed of green coming from the box and the box opened slowly.

She was amazed, she looked in the box there was nothing except a pearl necklace. She took the necklace in her hand and saw it carefully and she was on cloud nine cause the necklace she was holding was of the great Queen Rofasia she was the most beautiful and most powerful queen of the whole time and this was the necklace which was stolen from her 19000 years ago and Camila has found it. She was amazed and now she understood everything that the key was the key to this lock. She showed the necklace to her grandfather and her grandmother. Then she gave that necklace to the museum and she was awarded for her great job and now she is a well known archeologist in the world. She now has written many stories about archeology and she is a very well known artist too. She is now staying happily with her family.
