The Magic Glasses

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Aditya, who always used to skip homework & didn't study at all for his exams. Hence, he never did well in school. His parents & teachers tried hard to explain to him the importance of learning, but Aditya always said "I cannot remember what I see!"

One day, when he was on his way to school, he saw an old lady trying to cross a busy road. Aditya helped her cross the road by holding her hand. The old lady was very impressed with him & gave him a magic glass. She then told him "Aditya, with these glasses you will be able to remember whatever you see with concentration."

Aditya was very happy. He went home, wore the magic glasses & completed his homework with concentration. The next day in school, he scored very good marks on all the tests because he was able to remember whatever he had studied.

Then came the parent-teacher meeting. Aditya's parents spoke to his class teacher about his performance & the magic glasses. The class teacher then laughed & said that they were just ordinary glasses with no magic. That old lady was the teacher's very own mother who made Aditya believe that there is magic in it. It was actually his hard work & concentration that made him smart.
