In a little village named Gangapur lived a vegetable seller named Shymla. She used to sell vegetables and earn money. One day while she was selling vegetables, a lady asked that she wanted onions. "I don't have onions today, tomorrow I will bring onions them, Shymla said.

That day when she went to her wholesaler Maruthu's house. He said that the rates of onions have suddenly risen up since the onions are not coming to the market due to the rains. " So what are the prices of onions now'', Shymla asked. Maruthu said that they are 40 rupees per kg. She thought " that if I buy all the onions, then everyone will have to buy from me.'' She gave the money and took all the onions and went away.


She stored them in her storeroom. In two she earned thrice of what she used to earn, but on the third day when she went into the room all the onions were ruined and gave out a very bad smell. Shymla had learned a lesson.

MORAL: GREEDINESS IS A BAD THING
