Once upon a time, there was a man named Jack who lived in a small village near the sea. Jack was a simple man, but he always dreamed of becoming wealthy. One day, while he was fishing in the sea, he caught a goldfish.

The goldfish spoke to Jack, "Please let me go, and I'll grant you a wish."

Jack was surprised to hear the goldfish speak, but he didn't hesitate to make a wish. "I wish to be rich," he said.

The goldfish granted Jack's wish and disappeared into the sea. Jack returned home, and to his surprise, he found his house filled with gold and jewels. He was overjoyed and started living a luxurious life.

Days turned into months, and Jack enjoyed his newfound wealth, but he became greedy and started wishing for more. He went back to the sea and caught the goldfish again.

The goldfish said, "What is your wish this time?"

"I want a castle filled with gold and jewels," replied Jack.

The goldfish granted his wish, and Jack returned home to find a magnificent castle with all the riches he could ever want. However, Jack's greed had no limits, and he went back to the sea again.

This time the goldfish was not happy with Jack's behavior. The goldfish said, "Jack, you have become greedy, and your wishes are becoming too much. I cannot keep granting your wishes. Be happy with what you have."

But Jack refused to listen and kept insisting on more and more. He wanted to be the richest man in the world.

The goldfish granted his wish but also cursed him with a warning: "If you keep asking for more, you will lose everything you have."

Jack ignored the warning and kept asking for more, but soon his riches began to disappear. His castle crumbled, his servants vanished, and he was left with nothing.

Realizing his mistake, Jack went back to the sea and caught the goldfish again. This time, he apologized for his greed and thanked the goldfish for the wealth he had enjoyed for a while. He set the goldfish free, and from that day on, he lived a simple and content life.

Moral of the story: Greed can lead to one's downfall, and it's important to be content with what we have.
