The Gemstones

“Pearl, you need to let go of them? Darkness is starting to take over Anestajia and we need to keep them safe! Darkness will not leave them and they are better of somewhere else!” “No Topaz! I-I just can’t go! I will not let them go somewhere else and even worse, they won’t have any memory of who they are and won’t be together!” They soon hear a loud roar from around the hall. A large hush of black smoke cane around and screams of a thousand souls came from it. Pearl opened a portal and put her 6 baby girls, each with a gemstone necklace and put them in a portal. Tears ran down Pearl’s cheek and Topaz put his hand around her. And everything was lost....

15 Years Later,

“Mom! I will be fine! High school is only scary in movies. And besides, I am friendly and grow on everyone don’t worry!” Riya said. “No no no! I am scared there are bullies and peer pressure and so many bad influences there!” Riya didn’t let her mom finish as she grabbed a piece of toast, kissed her mom on the cheek and ran out of the door.

As she was running down the street (on the sidewalk, duh...), she collided with another girl. “Oh my goodness! I am so sorry I wasn’t looking when I was running down! I am in such a rush.” Riya helped the girl up and she said, “That’s ok. I spread Joy and Light around not guilt. Anyway, I am Amara.” Riya introduced herself and noticed Amara fiddling with her necklace. She noticed that it looks really similar to hers. Riya asked her about the necklace and Amara sadly replied, “This Yellow Quartz necklace is the last thing I have from my biological parents.” Riya discussed the same incident about HER emerald necklace and they talked a lot while going to school.

As they reached school, Amara waved towards 2 girls who were talking with each other and said as I quote, “Even though they are sisters, they both are polar opposites of each other. Katherine is sweet and cool while Scarlett is brave but a little self conscious.” As they 4 were talking, Riya saw that they 2 were wearing similar necklaces too. Riya asked about the Ruby and Sapphire necklaces to Scarlett but she shouted, “HOW DOES IT MATTER TO YOU?!?” Katherine looked at Riya apologetically and explained, “Before coming to live with me and my foster parents, Scarlett had parents who wanted to sell the only thing she has from her biological parents and same for me.”Riya apologised to Scarlett.

But, after the second period, all their necklaces started to glow and they all had a sudden urge to go to the music room. The music room was really empty with pianos and drums and violins and many other instruments. When Riya came in, she was shocked because there were 2 more girls with SIMILAR NECKLACES!?!
