The Eightieth Birthday

Swati asked everyone to keep the function secret. It's eightieth birthday of our grandpa and we should all be there for celebrations. He wishes all of us on our birthday without failing. Atleast we should wish him and celebrate this one in a grand way.  

All loved this idea and decided to be there on grandpas 80th birthday. Swati said,' all should reach in the morning and no excuses it will be a grand reunion of all of us and all will come at evening 6 o clock to the venue where we will be celebrating by inviting our friends and relatives.'

grandpa and our parents should know nothing if Dad comes to know about this plan he will tell grandpa so nobody should reveal .It's a surprise party by all grandchildren. This everybody agreed and from all over India who were there booked tickets . Asha was in U.S she too booked tickets and bought dadus favourite Chocolate .

All were arround 25 persons . Swati booked rooms in a hotel silently. Number of phone calls increased as days were coming closer . Ma asked Swati what happening do you have any function there are so many calls coming to you one after another.Swati smiled and told, ma all these i have function at my office and being anHR lady i have to see all the arrangements.' .Ma then told, why you doing all alone ask someone else also to help you out.

Swati nodded her head and said yeah will ask one more guy to help me .you do not worry. Swati took dadus shirt and bought a new kurti for the birthday secretly. All arrangements done one day before She will inform all Papa's friends family to be in the venue..

A big cake was ordered for the function . One by one all 25 grandchilren came and stayed in the hotel room. No one knew. .And the birthday day came. Early in the morning all grandchilren one by one started wishing by phone to Dadu and he was so happy receiving the calls .He smiled and told Swati, All are calling why you know this is my 80th birthday and see no one has forgotten. .

Swati told Dadu wear your new dress we will go to temple and then have dinner outside . All agreed Swati told mom, Ma we all grandchildren wanted to celebrate dadus party so all are here please be ready by 5 o clcok in the evening we will go to temple and then to the venue where we will have the birthday party. Ma jumped with joy and it was very difficult for her to keep secret still she did. all were ready by 5 oclcok. 

Swati took all of them to temple for puja then took them to the hotel venue. Why we are in a small room asked papa. Swati told its surprise party papa on 80th birthday of Dadu. One by one grandchilren came to Dadu to wish him he could not believe each time he saw one he just told oh1 you too are here.

Finally when he saw Asha from U S with her family he jumped with joy . He couldn't believe that she is here . How come you are here? Both Dad and grandpa asked. Dadu its your 80th birthday and how come i will miss it . Dadu counted all my 25 grandchildren here. He then saw cacha, chahi, bua and fufaji he just shouted with joy oh you too are also here.

All at a time shouted happy birthday to you and sang the birthday song. Dadu hearing this became so active he too jumped and clapped hands.

Then when he saw his close friends coming started dancing like Shammi kapoor. Swati played Shammi's songs . All his friends too clapped and said in college days he used to look like Shammi kapoor.

 All enjoyed the party papa, ma all his friends, all grand children everybody enjoyed sang danced . It was a very memorable day. 

After eating hardly Dadu could anything he said, I am so happy that I do not feel like eating food feel energetic. "

He came forward and patted Swati ,I never knew you have grown big and could organise such a big party co ordinating all. I heartily thank you and all for taking out time and coming here to make me feel so proud and I felt I have become young.My blessings to you all Dadu said and then he saw his watch oh it's 10 o clock . I should have been in the bed by. now . But once in a blue moon this change can happen not always. Please send all my pics in WhatsApp I want to see it Tomorrow morning. He then sat in vehicle with Ma and bua papa too left for home.
