The City Lights

Sometimes I miss the darkness. The pure darkness. I miss the voice of night. That is actually the voice of an insect living in the trees. 

It's like noise of metro has swallowed everything. Here it's difficult to sleep because the night is not as calm as it used to be.

Still I have the memories of my village where I could atleast see a sky full of stars . But here sky is no longer full of stars. I barely see the moon because pollution has taken over the sky.

Whenever I turn my head to see something I see hollow people and a hollow sky and yes the city lights. The lights which make me miss the darkness. The city lights are so bright and scattered throughout the streets so that the light of stars doesn't reach my eyes.

The city lights which make me wonder what if we just turn them off for few moments . Will it not be calm ??
