Mr. Aayush came in small library in a hurry finding some important paper may be a check to pay decorator. He was searching all books kept on one table which belong to him and his daughter- Aaruhi. He was searching everywhere when his eyes got stuck on one book of Aaruhi from which small corner of paper was piping. He took that book and took that piece of paper expecting it to be his check; but! It was something more important than his check.

“She got admission in one of the top college at London” he mumbled to himself being amused while holding the letter that Aaruhi kept hidden in her book which was now with her father.

“But tomorrow is her wedding” he whispered being sad.

Being sad and disappointed that he got to know about this too late he sat down remembering some old days.

*flashback*

“Mom, I don’t want to marry now.” Aaruhi was saying looking down in low voice. Being a shy girl she couldn’t raise her voice for her dream.

“Aaruhi, he is perfect guy. He has govt. job.” Said her mother.

“Aaruhi this is your perfect age for marriage.” Said her grandma.

“if you will remain single for long then at one age people will speak about you and will raise finger on your family’s image” said her aunt.

“come on! Say yes…” said her mom.

All that Aaruhi could do was nod in agreement.

That night Aaruhi came to her father and sat beside him while he was lying to sleep.

“All okay Aaruhi? You want something?” he asked her.

“No..” she replied in low voice.

“Then go and sleep beta; tomorrow they are coming to meet you.” He said while brushing his on hand on her head.

“Yes papa... good night” she smiled.

“Good night"

*Present*

Sitting with disappointment and deep thoughts.

Scene change!

The house was shining bright with the lights decorated all over. There were flowers spread on the door to the hall. There were howling of kids and young ladies from different corners of the house. The atmosphere was all pleasant and exotic as if the house of all the blessing showered upon. There were sweets taken from one place to another, there were some chocolates packets as well. There was setup of temple porch in the middle of the hall. The stairs were decorated with beautiful roses of different colors together with small twinkling lights. Then there was one closed door all decorated with balloons of red, blue and white colors and from there the path was decorated with petals towards the hall waiting for function to be celebrated.

Everyone was ready for the ceremony, panditji, guests, and even the grooms family.

"Call the bride." Pandit ji said.

"I shall bring her" said her mother.

"Oh wait! Today I want to go and being her." Interrupted Mr. Aayush.

"But..." She was saying.

"Wait! I will bring her". He said.

He went towards her room and knocked it. No one responded so he went in.

"Aaruhi!! Aaruhi!" He called.

She was not there in the room. He went in towards the balcony but she was not there. He went towards washroom and called her.

"Aaruhi are you there in washroom?" He asked.

"Yeah dad!" She whispered.

"Come out baby". He said.

"But I don't want to" she said.

"Come out, I have a surprise for you". He coaxed her.

"What?" She asked as she came out.

"This" he said while giving her the tickets of the flight for London.

"Dad!!!" She said quit loudly.

"Shhh! take your things and leave before anyone else come." He said.

"Thank you, dad! Thank you so much for this gift. I really wanted to study instead of getting married to anyone who I don’t even know. “she said with teary eyes.

"I know my baby girl. But if you would have shown me that letter beforehand then I would have not let your mother do this to you, under the pressure of her mother." He smiled.

"I thought you will not listen to me" she said.

"You are my daughter. You are my responsibility. It's my duty to listen to you and to your dreams." he kissed her forehead and continued" now leave".

"Yes dad" she giggled.

"And call me when you reach there."

And she left.

She ran away towards her dream.
