Rink Rank

Once there lived a young maiden named Jane. Her father was a very rich merchant. They lived in a big house and had many servants.

Jane loved a young man named Jaden. He was very smart and honest, but he wasn't as rich as Jane. He asked him to walk on the ice mountains and climb it, only then he would agree to get his daughter married to him.

Jane also accompanied him incase he would tremble, she would catch him. Jane and Jaden had completed a lot of distance hand in hand but suddenly the mountain opened up and Jane felt into it. She was stranded and started to cry. Suddenly a man with a long beard appeared in front of her. He held her by her hair and dragged her to his house. He asked her to be his servant. Everyday he used to go above the ground using a ladder and then hid it so that Jane could not go back home. It went on for three days but suddenly Jane had an idea.

One day she locked the door of the house and did not allow Rink Rank to enter. When he tried to enter through the window she closed it on his beard. He started to howl in pain. Jane said that she would open the door only if he would tell her where the ladder was. After shouting some more, he finally surrendered to her and told her where the ladder was. She tied a rope to the window and while climbing she pulled it so that the window would open. Jaden soon found her and they finished the journey together.

Her father was happy and decided to get them both married with great pomp and show. They lived happily ever after.
