Regretful Touch

A long time ago in medieval village. People lived happily and joyfully. Village had potter, cobbler, milkman and farmers to keep village running great. After sunset people had their dinner and go to bed. Yawning out of nowhere under the dim moonlight tiny little sleep fairy used to appear with her magical wand. She used to come alive in night and make people fall asleep in their bed by touching her wand. Before sun would rise bright and shine, tiny little sleep fairy would count each one of them. And then wake them up with her wand before Sunrise. Suddenly one midnight Sleep fairy counted a hundred and three people but out of them only hundred and two people wake up.

She found one elderly lady was found dead on her bed. Curiosity arose in the tiny little sleep fairy. She started working alertly every night. But what she found was heart dropping. Out of nowhere a black shadow appear every fifteen days & use to touch any single man or woman and they would never woke up again. The secret was revealed and the tiny little sleep fairy was angry on black shadow and was on quest to make black shadow's plan fail. So every fortnight whenever black shadow man appeared to touch the body the tiny little sleep fairy would make big sound of water jug falling, tumbling of vessels or rang the church bell then without touching anybody in black shadow used to get scared and run away. 

On nowhere island black shadow doubted who would be the one for the reason for his failure to make people dead. So from next time black shadow would hide and stop to see who was the mischievous culprit. One unfortunate midnight black shadow saw tiny little sleep fairy doing her job of making people fall asleep and wake them up energetic and happy to do their jobs so they can live their livelihood. But whenever black shadow would touch any body they would die followed by cry and sorrow of their loved one. He realized his job was to put people to sleep forever while sleep fairy enjoyed putting people to sleep and waking them up again more enthusiast in the morning. Slowly black shadow was jealous and started stalking sleep fairy every night. Sooner or Later black shadow fell in love with the tiny sleep fairy and her work. One day suddenly sleep fairy and black shadow cross each other's path. Only with the intention of love and affection. Black Shadow touch the sleep fairy. Slowly caress her face in admiration and in love. Tiny little sleep fairy got shocked and scared initially but she immediately felt soulful connection of togetherness and bonding of love with him. Soon looking at him with smile on her face she slowly started to close her eyes and was dead in his arms. Black Shadow at that time realized he is the reason for her death doing his job and with feeling of grief for first time by falling in love with that tiny little sleep fairy that could never be his own. Black shadow returned to nowhere island in sorrowful remorse and a regretful touch.
