Pratik’s Honesty

Once upon a time, there lived a family of four members  Mother, father, with two children Pratiksha and Pratik.     Pratiksha was 13 years old and Pratik was 6 years old. Their mother  was a housewife and father worked in T.C.S. company.

 

One fine day their mother was watching T.V while Pratik sat beside her and said  “Mother you Know I have completed my exam” Mother said “yes” with a smile.  Then Pratik added “And I have studied a lot this week” mother said smiled and said “ yes”

Pratik then smiled and said “and a have not eaten any sweets from when”

Mother said eagerly “oh really” Pratik nodded saying yes. Mother replied “But I don’t have any sweets nor chocolate and nor any biscuit as you ate them all up” Pratik replied, “Do not worry mother, you give me some money and I will go to a shop and get some lollipops”.

Mother laugh and bows down saying ”yes your majesty”. She brings ₹20 to Pratik, he takes money happily and went to the shop.

Pratik tells to the shopkeeper to give him four lollipops each of ₹5. The shopkeeper gives him four lollipops and some 3D angry bird sticker and say “ with each lollipop you get one angry bird sticker free”. Pratik takes lollipops and stickers and say “Wow! Angry bird stickers, thank you uncle.” And set of to his house. He gives each lollipop to every member of his family.

The next day Pratik takes the stickers to stick them on the wall of his room and notices that the shopkeeper gave him five stickers instead of four. Then he says to himself “Hmm I am so lucky to have one more sticker extra”. 

 

It was afternoon, when Pratik goes to his room to do his homework, he was not able to find his favourite pen. He calls out mother and asks her whether she has seen his pen. His mother says “no I have not seen your pen, let me ask Pratiksha about it” Then she calls Pratiksha. She comes to Pratik’s room and says “yes mother, what happened?” Mother replied, “Have you taken Pratik’s pen?” She replied, “yes I took it for my project.” Mom tells her that “we should not take other things without letting them know, now give him his pen and never repeat this again. The mother leaves the room. Pratiksha gives Pratik his pen and say sorry, and also leaves the room.

After Pratik completes his home work sits on his bed and thinks “I think I should return shopkeeper his 3D sticker back” “And mother also told we should not take other’s thing without letting them know.” Pratik that evening goes to the shop.

Pratik told to the shopkeeper “ Uncle yesterday I bought four lollipops and you told me with each lollipop you get one angers bird sticker free”. He continued “But instead of giving four stickers to me, you gave me five. So here is your one sticker”. Pratik returns the sticker to the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper smiles and gives Pratik one more lollipop and one 3D sticker and say “This lollipop and sticker is an award for your honesty my child.” Pratik smiles and takes a lollipop and 3D sticker and say “Thank you, uncle.” Pratik goes happily to his home back….
