Open Letter On Rakshabandhan

Dear All,

A sweet festival between brother and sister, where sister ties Rakhi (thread of the loving bond) around her brother's wrist and in return, brother blesses and makes promises of protecting his sister.

TABOO...

we have been in the taboo of this myth that, it is a bond between a brother and sister only in physical appearances i.e. on gender basis!

Come out of the mythical cocoon and break the chain of taboos and start thinking from everybody's perspective. 

Couples having single child, sons or girls only and what about them, having no child at all? How will they and their children celebrate this festival?

While taking pledge in school assembly, we say, "We are all Indians and all Indians are my brothers and sisters"!

Here, in the above statement, 'where does the concept of marriage do'?

Why not even the society stops pointing out us when we are about to, on the and crossed the verge of marriage age?

In every field of life, why society's opinion matters?

Rakshabandhan itself means a bond of protection with love, care and blend of all unmentioned emotions, connected with it. Then, it can happen with anyone. A single child can celebrate with his/her parents, lover or with bestfriends. Other siblings can celebrate among themselves like me celebrating with my sister.

She has always been there in every path of life.

On humanity ground, celebration of bond in relationships shouldn't be measured on gender basis.

Couples with no child can celebrate the bond of trust between them on the eve. Trust is a synonym of protection as promises are accepted on basis of trust!

My sister stood by me under every circumstances and any...time.How can I deny those moments and phases of life, where she played the vital role from every angle respectively?

This year my words will give a spark to your life and you will also feel the same as in such pandemic kinda, a thought of stepping out of home, scares! You discover the new aspects from every angle of your life...

So series, break the chain of taboo of all the myths and celebrate the same with great joy among yourselves.
