My Name is Raj

Raj is a topper student in SOP school of Odisha.He is also good in sports and extra curricular activities like drama,music,etc.One day the teacher asked him to tell a story to the class.Raj agreed to tell a story to the class and also to ms.Sonia(the teacher)

Raj starts with a formal introduction-


" Hello everyone,My Name is Raj.Today I am going to tell a story about my sister's first period".

When I was around 8 years old,I saw my sister's first period.She was lying on the bed,after she came back from school in the a ttfternoon.I was teasing her like every younger sibling.Then she suddenly got up from the bed and ran towards the washroom in a hurry.I thought she was going to pee.But when I saw.The the bed,there was a blood stain.I was little bit scared thinking that what happened to my sister.Then came out of thewashroom,she told my mother that what is happening.My mother giver her a packet,on it was written sanitary pad.My mother told to her ,to not tell anyone about this. When I asked my mother that what happened to my sister and also about sanitary pads.She scolded me telling that boys don't ask this type of question.So, after that I never asked her anything about this.I thought it was something a sin because my mother don't told anything about it,so as a kid I thought it was a sin.

From now the story comes to present moment.Now I came to know that what happened to my sister at that day.It was periods also know as manstrual cycle when is a natural activity in every women's body.It is not a sin.After I came to know about this I told my mother about this, but my mother scolded me again.Then I came to know that my mother's mother grown by telling her that periods is a sin.Till date I always try to convince my mother that periods is not a sin and I think my protest is working as earlier my sister was didn't even allowed to go to the temple during these days but now she can.I also don't tease my sister during the manstrual cycle as she is in pain at that time.
