My graduation!
My graduation!
Graduation! A Special Ceremony.
I was filled with mixed emotions during graduation. The joy of joining a college in near future and the pain of leaving friends behind.
Let me share with you my experience of the graduation day at Sindhi High school.
The theme was "Life is beautiful, enjoy it."
This solemn ceremony was held on 4th march 2022.
The ceremony started by seeking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati through an invocation and then the traditional lamp lighting ceremony took place as our schools motto is "Tamaso ma jyotirgamaya" Which means from darkness unto light.
The chief guest for this ceremony was Dr. P. R. S Chetan. He motivated us through his inspiring speech. It was the much required dose of encouragement for all of us. The anecdotes that the chief guest shared, touched my heart. His message was was that each one of us, by our efforts and hardwork can change this world and make it a better place to live in.
The chief guest was from civil defence. He was a disaster fighter too. He had saved many people in Kodagu during the floods in 2019. People saved by him equated him to God as he had saved many lives. The chief guest caught everyone's attention by his expressions, thoughts, experiences and motivation.
Then comes the most awaited moment of our ceremony. The traditional graduation ceremony finally arrived!!
We had to recite the Sadhana Panchakam written and composed by Adi Shankaraachaarya that contains 40 do's and don'ts for students.
This sacred mantras were recited when a student finishes his education under a teacher in the traditional gurukul system.
I am lucky that I was selected for reading out the meaning of the sanskrit verses. I am thankful to all my lovely teachers who thought me capable of doing it.
We were given lamps as it symbolises knowledge.
After this ceremony we went up for bidding good bye to the school which has made us what we are today.
We had a dinner arranged at school thereafter.
One best part of this day was clicking pictures with all the teachers and friends. Standing near the Principal and taking a selfie with her was the happiest moment for me.
What made my day was when Principal ma'am praised me for my perfect translation of the verses. I was on cloud nine.
My love towards my school can't be expressed!!!
PROUD TO BE A SINDHIAN
