My First Pet

When I was 3-4 years old, I always wanted a puppy to be my pet to play with and go to the ground.

Every year on my birthday, I got a book or a pen or doll houses. But they didn’t understand that I wanted a puppy. That would be my ‘biggest gift’. But everyone gave me something or the other which I liked but not as much as a puppy.

I asked my parents. But they said, “No!"

Mom said, “Let’s see after your results."

Dad said, “Ask your mother."

But no matter what, I wanted a puppy. When I was 9-10 years old, I asked my mother and father to get me a puppy. I was surprised that they brought a ‘Parrot’ for me instead. I was surprised, I hugged my mom and dad with love.

I always thought that they will never give me any pet. But they gave me a cute parrot.

I named my cute little pet, ‘TOM’. Because I wanted the name to be cute, nice to sound and simple to spell.

That was my first little pet, which was Tom, the parrot.
