My Dream Vacation
My Dream Vacation
Very often in life, you are so busy doing your daily job, monotonous routine, going through ups and downs that you forget to spend quality time with yourself. At this point, we require a dream vacation to recharge our batteries and move towards salvation. Then there are certain memories that cease to go away. Some places occupy a special place in your heart which you want to visit again and again because of the bitter-sweet memories associated with them.
As life moves on through different phases, you do learn to move on, become less emotional and impulsive but at the end of the day, you are in eternal pursuit of the flamboyant self that you once were and to visit your dream place in a different time-zone in the company of new people who enter your life. But like every author I love the solitude that helps me to introspect and make a meaningful existence on the earth.
It is extremely difficult to pin down the emotions that you experienced at the place with a bunch of college friends carefree, floating like a ferry, flying like a bird when you are still a virgin to outside expectations.
I vividly remember back in 2004 I visited Coorg, the hill station in Karnataka which was ecstatic, to say the least. I hope you will agree with me a place becomes extra special when you have very good company but Coorg is one such place where you can visit alone or with your friends and you will find it coming back to you in all hues and beauty.
The old British-styled cottages, the tea garden, the morning sunrise, the rising spring have all the ingredients to make a suspense thriller movie. One cannot be satisfied as the place keeps reinventing itself. It is a perfect tourist spot for a married couple and bachelor's alike.
Coorg is known to be an ideal place too for budding authors, writers, and poets because it gives them time and pleasure to develop plots, brings characters in open in gripping storytelling.
I always associate a place more with feeling rather than ambiance. So I visited Taj after 13 years and was fortunate to meet my senior in school and we spent some valuable moments together.
It is true that Coorg may have changed in the past decade but the hospitality and innocence of people will actually surprise you.
It remains my dream vacation for another reason as well for a scope of self-actualization to come to terms with self and reality. Keeping the negative vibrations aside and staying fit and healthy. The freshness of air and thanks the modern urbanization have still not hit the place.
Since pandemic with travel restrictions so much planning is required for a suitable vacation but where there is a will there is a way.
I am more than sure Coorg will touch your heart because I believe those who have ignored the scenic beauty of India have missed the world.
Coorg here I come... Start packing your bags meet you in Coorg's special chai stall.
