Lockdown

When the PM announced a 21-day lockdown I was jittery. Adults can manage but five-year-olds? However, there is a silver lining to every problem. With both his parents at home it became easy for Arjun to adjust to being cooped up. Besides, our grandparents give him undivided attention. So he forgot his school, his friends, his garden visits every day, his swimming and music classes and is enjoying being home. Afternoon naps are with grandparents as parents are working. And bedtime with parents who are relaxed and not too tired to play with him. He plays cricket at home, rides his cycle at home and is happy. Today his school reopened and he was ‘over the moon’ as he saw his classmates and new teachers through video conferencing. And felt big and grown-up!!
