It was a warm and sweaty day. On that day, the temperature in our city was about 50 degrees Celsius. We were in trouble due to the summer season, as our city was the hottest city in the world at that time.

"What should we do now?" my mom asked.

"I don't know, but it's so hot that we have to do something," my father replied.

"Hey! Let's go somewhere for our summer vacation," I suggested.

Suddenly, Mom and dad asked, "Where?"

Being a little crazy, I replied, "Somewhere where summer doesn't exist!"

"Yeah! That's a great idea," my mom and dad agreed.

"Shall we visit Kashmir?" I suggested.

"Nope, we have already been there, my dear," mom replied.

"What about Assam?" I said.

"Sure, that's great," mom and dad replied.

We started packing our bags, and suddenly mom said, "If only the three of us go on this trip, it might be boring on the train. Can we go with your aunt's family? It's a great idea, isn't it?"

"Yes, sure," my dad and I replied.

My aunt said, "Yes, it's a nice idea. Let's go."

The next day at dawn, our train was late. We waited for two hours, and finally, our train arrived. The journey was long, but it didn't matter because the view was incredible. There was a drizzle of rain, and as far as we could see, there was greenery. It was a breathtaking scene. We ate some food and drank juice in the train while enjoying the scenery outside. It was a really good experience. The next day, in the afternoon, we arrived in Guwahati, Assam. We took a rest in a hotel in the afternoon. In the evening, we visited the Brahmaputra ghat and listened to the chirping of birds. That scene was adorable.

We drank tea from the most famous shop in Guwahati, and the tea was really tasty. The next morning, we visited Kamakhya temple. As we entered the temple, we saw a long queue, and we had to join it. The top of the Kamakhya temple is covered with gold, and inside the temple, there were goats roaming around, and there was blood on the floor. It's not good to sacrifice animals for God because God is not going to accept it. After visiting the whole temple, we had lunch at a nearby restaurant. According to us, it was not so good because we are not accustomed to their style of cooking. The temperature in Guwahati was not that cool; it was moderate.

The next day, we decided to visit Shillong because there wasn't much left to explore in Guwahati. So, we drove to Shillong, and on the way, we saw an old pickle shop. We thought about buying a jar of pickles from there, but suddenly, my aunt asked what type of pickles they were. They couldn't understand our language, so my aunt said, "Give me one pickle. Let me see." When the pickle was in my aunt's hand, they said, "beef." My aunt made a face and said, "Eww!" because we are pure vegetarians. We burst out laughing in the corner. After some time, we arrived in Shillong and stayed at the Orchid Lake Resort. I always think that resorts are more comfortable and better to stay at than hotels. We didn't rest after arriving because of the beauty of the resort. We had to explore the whole place. There was a lake near the resort, and in the evening, we went there. They had electric boats, so we took a ride on one, and I can't explain how nice the view was. Then we went back to the resort for dinner, and the food was so good.

The next day, we went to Elephant Falls in Shillong. The view of the falls was serene, and the ripples of water were so relaxing. As we were leaving, we saw people doing photo shoots while wearing the traditional dress of Assam, called Mekhela Chador. So, we also had a photo shoot wearing Mekhela Chador. It was a heavy dress, but it looked amazing.

Another day, we visited the Don Bosco Museum in Shillong. The museum showcased old things from Assam and many more interesting exhibits. The thing I liked most about the museum was its rooftop. From there, we could see the whole city, and of course, the view was awesome. We went back to our resort and had dinner. The next day, our train was scheduled for the afternoon, so in the morning, we saw seven waterfalls at once, and the view was incredible.

We faced some language problems there since our language was different from theirs. However, the people in Assam were sweet-natured, and it was amazing to see that women worked more than men in Assam.

We enjoyed the trip a lot, and it is a memorable event for me and my family.
