Once there was a boy named Asmit, who loved Junk Food, you would always find him eating, at home, at lunch break he would finish his food first and then eat everyone else’s, you could sometimes even catch him eating snacks during class. But everything he ate was Junk Food.

His parents were very frustrated with him eating so much, they would counsel him 20 times a month, but he never understood. They tried getting rid of all the Junk Food, but Asmit bought snacks using his pocket money. His parents tried everything they could, but it all went in vain.

Asmit was 45 kg when one of his parent’s friends gave them an idea to them about how he should have a life-threatening disease and how it would happen the day before an important exam. His parents thought that they would put their son’s life in danger just to teach him a valuable lesson. But the friend explained that they should fake everything for him to learn his lesson.

After hearing this his parents calmed down and with the help and advice of their friend they started setting up a plan to trap him.

Firstly they went to the school and told them about the problem and solution and how the school could help them. The principal told them that since he joined the school in September, he had missed the whole set of exams known as UT-1. They could create a fake notice about it and give it to him personally, as nothing could be done in reality for the exams anymore.

Asmit’s parents made a deal with the school and they were on the second step of their plan.

Secondly, they consulted their family doctor and asked them for a favour for the pay of 500 rs. They asked him to diagnose him with diabetes on 22 September 2022 as he had the fake exam the very next day.

The doctor was feeling great about being a part of the plan and happily agreed. He said, “Ok, you bring him on the 23rd and I will take care of the rest”. Asmit’s parents were very happy about how everything was turning out as they planned.

When they went home, they saw Asmit sitting in front of the TV and eating Maggi alongside some Soda. They were feeling great about the plan and went to sleep with ease.

Asmit found it weird that no one said anything to him and he suspected that something fishy was going on. He knew their friend and also knew the fact that his parents did not like getting close to them. When he went to bed that day he told himself “I am going to figure out whatever is going on”.

When he went to school the next day, he was in for a surprise. The principal called him to her office, and he was scared. She gave him the fake notice and said “Young lad, you have your first set of exams consecutively for the next week and this is special for you as I saw your record of straight A’s and I did not want to break it. Study hard”.

Asmit said stuttering “Thank you, ma’am”.

When he came out of her office, he noticed that the principal hadn’t signed it. He first decided to go back in and get it signed but then he took it as evidence and kept looking for more clues.

When he went back home, he saw his parents talking to the friend ‘AGAIN’. He found it weird. He started to play along and started studying in his room.

When his parents saw him, they thought the plan had worked and kept going on with the plan.

2 days after the incident took place Asmit’s mom took him to the doctor as planned and the doctor diagnosed him with diabetes but while he was doing it he forgot to write the medication and the symptoms, which got Asmit more curious. He did not say anything until his mom told him to rest at home on the day of the exam.

He said, “mumma, today is my exam I cannot miss this, please let me go, please!!” He begged her. She simply refused and said “No way, I can’t let you go to school with your diabetes what if something bad happens, I would not be able to do anything and I would lose you. You know how difficult it will be losing one of our sons.” His younger brother also said, “Bhai, please don’t go, what would I do without you”.

Asmit then put two and two together and understood what was going on. He didn’t go to school but he was very sad about it.

He went to the principal’s office the very next day and apologized to her and said that he had been diagnosed with diabetes which was the reason why he couldn’t come to school that day.

The principal thought he had understood his lesson and called his parents to give them the best news that Asmit had understood and would control his eating habits.

After school, he went to the doctor’s office, and apologized to him and said to give him medication for his disease but he was in for a surprise, the doctor told him “Aww, beta you have nothing to worry about, so the prescription I gave you the other day was fake. Your mumma told me about it and told me to give you the fake description so you would learn your lesson.”

When Asmit went home, his mumma had gotten the news that he had learned his lesson.

He told his mumma, “Mumma, I am not happy with your actions, what you did to me, but I have to say, you and papa outdid yourself this time, I love you so much. Thank you for teaching me this lesson, I don’t think I would have learned it either way.”

His mumma was very happy and hugged Asmit.

After that day Asmit took good care of his diet and put down all the junk food he ate now he usually eats healthy food and he orders take-out twice a week on Saturday and Sunday. He k

Now he knows that what happened was just a drill but it could happen in reality if he doesn’t take care of himself.
