Home Alone On A Rainy Day

It was a rainy day. I was all alone in the home because my father, mother and sister had gone to meet his (father’s) old school friend. I had exams so I decided to stay in the house. It was raining cats and dogs but in few minutes rain increased. I knew this because the sound of rain had increased, I was not able to study so I took a break. Since I didn’t see the television for quite few time so I took the advantage of the break and started to watch television.

After half an hour the lights went out and phone lines were dead. The kitchen was dark. Oh, I forgot to tell you that I was afraid of darkness. I tried not remember about ghost or supernatural things. Then went to bed and laid after a minute or two I slept. Then I was woken by the knocking on the door. My mind started to give me the signals that it is a ghost that is knocking on the door.

I looked at the watch it was 2:30 pm and my family was to return at 6:00 pm after a bit of hesitation, I opened the door and to my surprise, it was my family after they entered I asked why they had come so early they said “that father’s friend had an emergency call so he had to go away.
