Heart Story

A heart starts to beat as soon as the human is born and continues to do so, till the end of its time. There are obviously ups and downs, probably because of the human not taking enough care. However, those are only the physical aspects of the heart. There’s also something the heart controls which even the brain can not control. Some say it’s emotions, some say it’s just a bunch of chemicals which the heart forces the brain to release. But is physical support only what the heart desires?

It was the sometime in December, the heart was pumping normally inside the womb, suddenly the placenta broke and there was blood all around. The curious heart alerted the heart it trusted the most, that of its mother for the next steps, and it was not disappointed. After a tiring 24 hrs the experienced heart was able to bring this heart into the world, and a new heart was born, though premature but desired to take over its human.

Eventually years passed, the human did what the heart would want, throw tantrums around. But soon the heart realized, not everything is in its control. It was a hot summer day, and heart was around 7 years old, with the human again giving in to the heart's tantrum, having the third ice cream of the hour. Suddenly the next day, heart was racing, little did it know the previous day’s action would bring up the fever. Despite the care, heart was running for next three days. Heart learnt a valuable lesson, listen to the brain and other organs. I sure am important, but not to put other’s life at stake, heart thought.

Soon, the brain took over the heart with life, career and goals. Eventually heart was nowhere close to where it had desired to be. Heart started being sad. Brain in order to make the heart started going for small temporary pleasures like movies, TV and games. Brain realised, these were temporary soon enough. As heart was loitering around the at the first day of the human's job, brain realised something was different. Heart was somehow liking another heart.

Brain was confused, internal circuitry of the organs was all not working. Things went out of hand, and brain decided to call it off. Heart was however in no mood for this. Heart again reigned over all the controls as it used to do once it was young and it was as always has been that brain could not handle it. The logical circuitry was completed blacked out, and this round was once again won by heart asserting it’s dominance. Brain just said at is loss, “.Be careful! Not everything is under my control.”

There was something different about the heart for the next few days, even the brain was bafflled. But seeing it happy brain did not interrupt. Soon, days became months, heart was still the same. Heart somehow had convinced the brain, to be around the “other heart”. Little did brain expect the reaction it got. Somehow, with all the chemistry the brain was hitched as well. However, something spontaneous was not the brain’s so called “forte”. Heart was able to grab the attention of the other brain and heart and the brain did not disappoint the heart this time around. And after approximately 15 years brain and heart were in sync. And so was the heart and brain to like this heart back. Finally this heart had another heart to share and be together.

Was it win for the heart or the brain? Brain was surprised, that it was both. But as always it was short-lived. Brain was quick to go back into its “workaholic” mode. Heart was having a heart time adjusting to this newly found loneliness. All the songs, movies and shows about love, eternity suddenly did not make any sense. Brain tried to adapt heart to these circumstances, but failed poorly. One day watching one for his favorite shows brain was enjoying, the heart suddenly stood up closed it all off and slept off.

For the first time brain could feel the pain in the heart. And finally after around 2 years they were able to communicate thoroughly. Even the eyes were shocked by this outcome. Heart decided never to fall into the trap and agreed to the brain. Brain redirected the human's life to all sorts of success and heart was just as happy for brain as it could be.
