Greedy Crow

Many years ago there was a village Pakaria, in which all the people lived very well and with love. One special thing about that village was that there were a lot of trees, plants, and greenery as compared to other villages. Because of this, there was a good number of birds in that village. That village was famous for its beautiful birds. There lived a girl in a village whose name was Ananya, she loved birds very much. She used to feed the birds every day. I used to put a bunch of them daily near my house, the parrots also used to eat those grains with great pleasure. There was a crow in that village whom no one liked and no one gave food. He was so greedy and lazy that he did not do any work even for his food.

The crow thought about the way she feeds the parrots, "why don't I also go there at the same time and eat the grain, maybe she will give me that grain there, and my stomach will also be full. When she comes, I will also go and sit there, it will fill my stomach and I will not have to work."

The next day, when Ananya went to feed, all the parrots gathered there; on seeing her, the crow also flew from its nest and went and sat there.

When Ananya saw this

Ananya: Black crows run away from here, how dirty they have come here and are eating grains in the company of the whole village, move away from here, run away from here. I don't know how many days you haven't even taken a bath.

Ananya made the crow run away from there. The crow also flew quietly from there and came to its nest. He got very angry but he could not do anything. He went hungry again.

No bird lived in the tree where I lived, he went to other trees and asked the birds there to give him some food but none of the birds wanted to even talk to him, they all chased him away.

One evening I thought why not paint yourself green and look like a parrot because of which no one will be able to recognize him and when Ananya comes to sow seeds, he will be able to go and eat.

That very night he went to a dyer's house and secretly dipped himself in green. And also painted his beak a little red. Now he was almost starting to look the same. The next day as soon as Ananya came there, he also flew and joined the herd of parrots. He started doing this every day.

Crow (in mind): Wow, what a mind I have used, I have such a good idea, now I am eating grains comfortably every day and I am not even recognizing anyone, now I do not have any problem in eating.

One day, as usual, he was eating food in the herd. Then suddenly he saw a piece of meat nearby and on seeing that piece, he started shouting with joy.

Parrots: Hey, this is a crow, it is not one of our parrots.

Ananya: Hey, this is a dirty art crow. Drive him away

Parrots and crows chased him away after beating him.

That night :

Crow (moaning): Oh, I have been hit a lot, everyone together does not understand how they will get food tomorrow with great difficulty, so this trick was told.

The crow kept thinking the whole night that from where would he get his food tomorrow. He was very angry with Ananya, so he wanted to take revenge on her, when he woke up in the morning, he had a trick.

Crow: I will find out where Ananya's house is and where she gets the grains from.

The same day when Ananya started coming back after feeding the parrot, the crow started following her and finally saw Ananya's house. The next day when Ananya went to sow seeds, he quietly entered her house.

Crow: Let's find out in her house now, don't know where she keeps it.

When he searched the whole house, he saw a pile of grains in one place, he ate the grains there to his heart's content, filled his stomach, and silently flew away from there.

When Ananya came back:

Ananya: Hey, how are these grains scattered here, it seems someone came behind me.

Every day you used to do this in her house, he would enter her house after Ananya had left, eat grains with pleasure, get spoiled and fly back to his nest.

Ananya used to get upset seeing this every day and used to wonder who comes to the house in her absence. One day a child told her.

Child: Sister, when you go out, a black crow enters your house.

Ananya understood that this is the same black dirty crow whom she had driven away by beating him.

Ananya suggests a trick to save her grains. She keeps all the grains sealed in an iron canister. When it came the next day, he did not see the grains anywhere, he silently flew away.

But he has started doing the same thing in every house in the village, in every house he goes to, eats grains and scatters grains comfortably, all the people were very upset with his work, 1 day together they thought that he should be taught a lesson.

 Villagers (among themselves): If this crow continues to create havoc in this way, then there will be a lot of trouble in our house.

They set aside a piece of meat and some grains in one place to trap it and go and hide behind a tree. As soon as he comes down, the people of the village catch him and beat him severely and punish him for his greed and lock him in a cage.
