Good Student

Jacky and Rohan were very good friends. In school, they were sitting nearby, in the playground, they used to play together. Jacky's father was a businessman. They had a nice house, vehicle, good clothes etc. whereas Rohan was from a poor family where sometimes they do not have even sufficient food to eat. But anyway their friendship was never dependent upon their financial status. Rohan was always very good in studies in comparison to Jacky.

One day, the class teacher announced in the class that the half-yearly examination will be conducted within 15 days due to some official meetings of school which will be organized immediately after this. Everyone was a little nervous and started preparing for the exams. Jacky became lazy and thought this seems to be very difficult for him and in any way he cannot complete the preparation. So what he did, he searched for an alternative. Without informing Rohan, he went to a secret person and asked him to tell a trick so that he can pass the examination easily without studying anything. That person told your father is very rich, you give me 500 rupees every day for the next 15 days. With your money, I will be impressed and do magic for you so that you can easily pass the examination with good marks. Jacky was very excited and everyday early morning he used to give 500 rupees to that person by stealing from his father's wallet. At the same time, Rohan was studying really hard. He had a target to fulfill and achieve good marks in the examination. Sometimes if electricity was not available, he even tried to study in candlelight. This trend was continuing for both friends.

Finally the examination date came. Jacky was very happy that he will definitely pass and can answer everything with the secret person's magic. After getting the question paper, Rohan started writing in a rapid-fire way whereas Jacky was completely blank. He could not answer a single question correctly. 2 hours of examination got over. After coming out of the examination hall, Jacky started crying very badly. When Rohan asked the reason that why he could not answer any question, Jacky described his last 15 days work plan. After listening to him, Rohan got little angry but being a friend he made Jacky understand that what he did is absolutely wrong. Neither he worked hard nor even tried to do so which is definitely a duty of a student. Again, by stealing his father's money he did another mistake because of parents income money for the betterment of their children's life and carrier. If we will cheat them, then we are really hurting them which is really bad. Rohan told us we should always be a sincere student who should do all his duties very sincerely even if the time limit is very less. There is never a shortcut to the target and if you will do so it will never last long. Again, you will be never recognized as a "Good Student".

Jacky admitted all his mistakes and promised never to repeat it again in his life. He learnt a good lesson from his wrong deeds. Now Rohan helped him in preparation for the upcoming examination. In all the rest of the exams, Jack studied hard and did very good in all the subjects.

MORAL OF THE STORY: There is no alternative other than hard work to achieve success.
