Fear: A Story of Hope
Fear: A Story of Hope
Pranay was the only son of Mr. Jeevan Agrawal. From a very young age, he was very shy and quiet. Whenever he was given a task, he would either fail to finish it or make a mistake. As a result, he was constantly scolded by everyone at home. These continuous scolding made him even more nervous. Whenever he was asked to do something, he tried to say “no,” but the elders never listened. This led to more mistakes and more scolding. Because of this, Pranay lost all his self-confidence, and his parents were always worried about him.
When Pranay reached the tenth grade, things were still the same. He never came first in class because he didn’t believe in himself. Even with small daily chores, he would get nervous and mess things up. When anyone asked him why, Pranay would simply say that he got scared the moment he was given a task, and that fear caused him to make mistakes.
Then, a new teacher named Sanjay Sir joined the school. All the students loved him because he was very friendly and taught in an exciting way. However, Pranay was still stuck in his old, fearful ways. Sanjay Sir noticed Pranay’s behavior and realized that the boy needed help.
The next day, Sanjay Sir called Pranay’s father and went to their house in the evening. When Pranay opened the door and saw his teacher, he got scared and ran inside. After listening to everything about Pranay’s past, Sanjay Sir asked him, “Do you want to get your confidence back?” Pranay nodded his head. The teacher promised him one thing: “No matter how many mistakes you make, nobody will scold you anymore. Just try your best.” Pranay felt happy and relieved.
Sanjay Sir started his plan. First, he gave Pranay some fun brain games to play. Pranay enjoyed these games very much and became very good at them. He even started getting perfect scores! After a week, his confidence grew. Then, the teacher gave him school projects to do on his own. Pranay told the teacher, “I can do this by myself!” and he did an excellent job. His parents were amazed to see this positive change.
Finally, Sanjay Sir gave him work in subjects that Pranay usually disliked. Even then, Pranay did not give up. He worked with great energy and asked for help only when he really needed it. When the final exams came, Pranay was ready. He studied hard and ended up topping his entire class!
Through constant effort, Pranay finally found his self-confidence. He touched his teacher’s feet to thank him. His family was both happy and surprised by his success. They thanked Sanjay Sir from the bottom of their hearts for saving their son’s future.
