There was a boy named Raj in a small town. He was a procrastinator and kept avoiding everything in life. Every time he would face a situation he would start praying,

"Please God, let this time go. I will do anything after this."

His wish would get fulfilled and he would back to being ignorant. One day God decided to teach him a lesson. So, he impersonated himself as a commoner and meet him.

Raj as always was again in the middle of the situation and instead of facing it he closed his eyes and started praying,

"Please God, let this pass. I promise to face every situation head-on after this."

God decided to intervene.

"What's wrong Raj. What are you praying so desperately for?"

Raj, without hesitation, went ahead telling his tale. After patiently listening to all his meager excuses and never fulfilled promises God said,

"I have the solution to all your problems. But you must use it cautiously and only in times of genuine need."

Without even asking the what, hows and why of it, Raj readily accepted.

"Take this clock."

"What use is this clock for me?"

"Child, this isn't any ordinary clock but the clock of your life. Every time you have a problem which you cant face, you fast forward it and that phase will pass. But remember a time once passed will never return."

Raj became very happy and thought that I will now fast forward all my problems. He kept forwarding even issues like facing parents during failing exams and didn't realise that with passing time his life kept passing. A week later, he found himself to have lost his parents and has aged 50 odd years. He was horrified and started crying insolently. Instead of fast forwarding this event, he started calling out to god. God, as the same person appeared infront of him.

"What have you done to me," he asked God.

"Raj, I told you to use it only in times of dire need. But you have become so ignorant in life that you kept jumping all the phases of life. Now you have the last few years left. Live in peace."

"No, but I want my life back."

"I told you before time once lost is lost forever. There is no other solution.

"No, I am sorry. I promise..."

"What promises? Have you ever fulfilled any promise of yours? You will forget it by the next hour and go back to your old ways."

Raj started weeping and could remember all the past promises he made.

"Give me one last chance. Please, I know the value of what I lost. I promise to mend my ways and fulfill all the promises."

God finally satisfied that he has learnt his lessons disappeared.

Raj suddenly woke up and realized it was all a dream. A bad dream. How can it be possible? He was about to ignore the so-called nightmare when he saw the same clock.

He turned so pale and started shaking. It was then he realized that all of it was true and this was his second chance to life.

He had finally learnt his lessons...
